Graduate Opportunities
As the company is small, there will not be an annual graduate recruitment cycle. Vacancies will be advertised on company website, local press and the university.
There may be more potential for graduate internships, annual contracts to work on specific projects, for example the company recently took on a University of Lincoln IT graduate to work as a webmaster for a yearlong project (who has since been employed). Other such opportunities may arise with company development.
Voluntary/Work Experience Opportunities
Experience and Perception of Graduates
However, in such a small company with people who have worked their way up from lower technical positions, the graduates would have to be sensitive in their approach. Some workers have pre-conceived ideas of graduates and may feel aggrieved if a graduate was to leap frog ahead of them into a position after they have worked for the company since leaving school for example.
